IPanel will especially draw the attention of overclockers since the device enables you to read the three fan and three temperature values running in the system at any instance through the LCD display on its front panel. So you can learn the temperature of the processor or the RPM of the fan whenever you like, even when playing a game. Also you can reach the three voltage values at any time. Moreover you can keep track of the processor speed, SDRAM and BUS speed when you want. With ipanel installed, you will have two USB, one Serial Port and Audio I/O's located in the front of your case. Also an Infrared eye will be included in your system. However the Infrared, Serial Port and Audio I/O are only on the deluxe model. The standard model of which you see the picture below doesn't have these ports.

iPanel additionally gives the hex equivalents of the boot codes throughout the POST so you can locate any boot error by examining these codes (an explanation chart of the error codes is included in the manual). The four function keys in the front of the iPanel can be programmed for certain procedures using the software that comes with the device. Still I can't think of anyone who would like to execute an e-mail (Outlook) or www (Explorer) through iPanel, not of any use if you ask me. You can cycle through the processor temperature, RPM of fan and voltage values by the "mode" key on the iPanel but when you restart the device, it switches back to the default processor speed which is the default. As a result you can not alter it to show you the CPU speed as default, you may have to press "mode" key every time you start over.
As a conclusion the iPanel is an informing panel and, actually a facilitative one, moving some ports to the front of the PC.
